Energy is power over a certain period and is expressed in watt-hours (Wh) or kilowatt-hours (kWh). The energy capacity of an electric car’s battery is measured in kilowatt-hours or kWh.
The current generation of electric cars has a battery capacity ranging from 15 to 100 kWh.
Example: an electric car with a battery capacity of 60 kWh and a consumption of 15 kWh/100 km has a range of 400 km.
