An electric car produces less carbon dioxide (CO2)
Currently, there are approximately 900 million vehicles on the planet, and within 10 years, this number is expected to exceed one billion. These vehicles are primarily powered by gasoline, diesel, or natural gas, depleting fossil fuel reserves rapidly. The transportation of the future will require alternative sustainable energy sources, such as wind turbines and solar panels, which can generate energy for electric cars.
While cars have become cleaner in recent years, thanks to inventions like catalytic converters and particulate filters, even the cleanest car still emits carbon dioxide (CO2) as it is an inherent byproduct of the combustion process. CO2 is not toxic but contributes to the greenhouse effect and, consequently, climate warming.
A fully electric car does not produce CO2 emissions during operation. However, its overall environmental impact depends on how the electrical energy it runs on is generated. For example, electricity from renewable sources like wind or solar power is much greener than electricity from conventional coal-fired power plants.
