The ‘Charging stations automations’ card in the Smappee dashboard allows you to set schedules for enabling/disabling charging stations. This could be useful if, for example, you only want your Smappee charging station(s) to be available during business hours.
Firstly, add the ‘Charging stations automations’ card to a board in the Smappee Dashboard. Then, click ‘Add automation’:
Next, fill in the shown fields:
- Name of this automation
- Which days it should run
- What time it should run
- What the action should be (set the charging station available)
- On which charging station(s) it should run
Once you have pressed ‘Save automation’, you will see that the automation has been added to the list:
Now that the charging stations will be enabled every weekday at 8:00, we can set another automation to disable them in the evening:
Once this has been saved, we can see two automations in the list; one to enable and another to disable. The charging station will now automatically enable at 8:00 and disable at 18:00 on weekdays. When it is disabled, the charging station’s LED will be red.
