How do I stop charging correctly and remove the charging cable?

3 steps:

  1. If the charging session was initiated with a charging card, start by holding it against the device’s card reader to stop the session.
  2. Remove the charging cable from the vehicle.
  3. Remove the charging cable from the Easee charging point.

To prevent the plug from getting stuck, the following actions should be performed in the specified order:

  • Stop charging in the same way it was started (using the same charging card, wait a few seconds until the action is completed).
  • Remove the plug first on the car side, then from the charger side (if the end user tries to remove the plug from the charger first, it may get stuck against the locking system).
  • After the plug has been removed from the vehicle, it’s important to wait for a short time before removing the plug from the charger (this can take up to a maximum of 45 seconds). This is crucial if the charger is in operation and under the control of an operator.

The above steps ensure the correct termination of a charging session, allowing the session to be saved.
