What is the difference between Volt, Ampere, and kW?

Voltage is expressed in Volts. Current in Amperes. Power in kiloWatts. To understand these terms, you can compare them to a water tap. Power (kW) is then expressed as the flow rate of water coming out of the tap. To achieve this flow rate, you can either increase the water pressure or enlarge the tap opening. You can obtain the same flow rate with both a small tap and high pressure or a large tap with low pressure. The pressure is analogous to voltage (Volt). The size of the tap is analogous to current (ampere). Current also determines the thickness of the electrical cables.
